Throughout the early stages of the game, there are a few opportunities to earn yourself some Praise of High Morals. Aboard the space station at the start of the game there is a broken Curio you can fix, fixing this gives you a Praise of High Morals. Additionally, a little further into the game, once you get onto the first planet, run around and look for the postboxes. You can post letters that others have left behind in order to get some Praise of High Morals too.

Where To Spend Praise Of High Morals In Honkai Star Rail

When you want to spend or use your Praise of High Morals, you need to venture to the Administration District on Jarilo VI. On the West side of the district, around the central area of the map, there is a large water fountain. Approach the water fountain and interact with it.

There are multiple options here but you want to select the option that says “Fish the treasure out of the fountain”. Your character will then attempt to find a rare and valuable item from within the fountain itself. So far, we have only found junk but there’s likely a loot table with some better items on it. We’ll keep you posted.

When in-game, you need to go to your inventory and click on the … at the top. Here you can change your birthdate and redeem codes. Click the redeem code button and you can then enter your codes.

Currently there are several codes active.

You need to progress far enough to unlock your mailbox to get the rewards. Just keep going through the main story and you’ll be able to get these rewards and you pre register ones. If any more codes come out we will be sure to update the guide.

When you speak to everyone you then return to Swetta and she says. “The cook said the helper did it, the tailor said it wasn’t her, the merchant said it was the cook, and the helper said it wasn’t him”, and informs you that only the culprit would be lying, so you need to use the information you have available to identify the thief.

If you speak with Hook to ask for a clue, they say “I think the cook and the merchant are the most suspicious. My gut tells me that one if them is the culprit”. This helps narrow down the potential suspects as you now just need to figure out whether or not the cook is lying or the merchant is lying. Remember, the Cook said it was the Helper and the Merchant said it was the cook. If only one person can lie, this is all the clues you need.

The merchant cannot be lying if the answer is either cook or merchant. The cook is saying the helper did it, which if he is lying means it’s the merchant, but then the merchant would be lying by saying it’s the cook. If the merchant is lying by saying it’s the cook, the cook cannot be telling the truth that it’s the helper.

Therefore, the Cook is the thief.

The game explains that both letters are jammed into the little slot om the mailbox. At this point you are given three choices. You can choose to take the left envelope, take the right envelope, or push in both envelopes.

Take The Left Envelope Or Right Envelope In Honkai Star Rail

Honkai Star Rail is not a traditional single-player game so it’s not as easy as simply making a choice and reloading. As such, it’s important that you understand these choices will remain. For this particular choice, it seems relatively harmless.

If you choose take the left envelope
If you take the left envelope you get 1,000 credits and an item called Undelivered Letter 3 with the description “An envelope found in Belobog”.

If you choose take the right envelope
You also get 1,000 credits and an undelivered letter number 4.

If you choose to push in both envelopes
If you push both envelopes through you get an item called Praise of High Morals. You can spend Praise of High Morals at a fountain in town – Huge thanks to Stephen. We’ll update once we know more.

If you want to ascend characters you need to unlock higher difficulties. Much like Genshin Impact, the difficulty feature in Honkai Star Rail is a progressive system, unlike traditional difficulty settings that can be changed at any time. Changing difficulty in Honka Star Rail is more about advancing the game world. Yes, it does get more difficult, but it’s part of progressing through the game rather than adjusting a single option in a menu. If you want to continue advancing through the game, you will need to unlock new Difficulty levels in order to progress.

How To Increase Difficulty Level To 1 In Honkai Star Rail

Once your characters reach level 20 their advancement stops. You can no longer progress past level 20 until you unlock Difficult Level 1. This is one of the many different Difficulty settings that you can unlock. Unlocking Difficulty Level 1 will allow your characters to advance and continue past level 20 to the next level cap before you need to unlock another difficulty level.

The difficulty setting is tied to your Trailblaze level, an overall account-like level that progresses as you advance through the game. If you want to unlock Difficulty Level 1 you need to reach Level 20 Trailblaze. This then unlocks a Trailblade Missions called Increase Difficulty Level to 1.

Simply complete that quest and you will unlock Difficulty Level 1 and will now be able to ascend your characters.

Once your characters reach level 20 they will no longer be able to advance without ascending
Once a character has reached level 20 you need to find the ascension material and unlock the appropriate difficulty level
If you want to unlock Difficulty Level 1, advance to Trailblaze level 20 and the side quest will become available

Ascending characters unlocks new skills and abilities. This guide on How To Ascend Characters In Honkai Star Rail explains the ascending process as it’s tied to another unique mechanic where you need to advance through the games Difficulty Levels in order to progress through the story and improve your character further.

As you progress through the story you can increase the level of each of your characters. Once a character reaches level 20 they reach the first threshold. This means that the character will no longer be able to advance, gain new skills, or unlock new abilities until they have reached the next level of ascension. Before you’re able to unlock the ability to ascend, you first need to unlock Difficulty Level 1.

How To Ascend Characters In Honkai Star Rail

To unlock Difficulty Level 1 you first need to reach Trailblaze level 20. This is like an account level that is leveled up individually to your characters. Once you reach level 20 Trailblaze you can then complete the quest “Increase Difficulty Level to Level 1” which unlocks a new difficulty tier and advances the game world.

Once you have unlocked Difficulty Level 1 you can then spend the Ascension materials to ascend your favorite characters.

Before you’re able to ascend characters you first need to reach level 20 with the character you want to ascend
Once they have reached level 20 you can find the ascension materials required in order to advance your character to the next tier through ascension.
Once you have a level 20 character and the ascension materials you need to complete the level 20 Trailblaze quest in order to unlock the next difficulty tier so you can ascend your characters.

In Rivet Town on Jarilo VI, there is a locked gate that requires a Market Key to open. This guide on Where To Find The Market Key In Honkai Star Rail will tell you everything you need to know to track down the Market Key so you can find it, obtain it, and use it to open the gate to defeat the enemies beyond and claim another treasure chest.

Jarilo VI is the first planet you get to explore in Honkai Star Rail, and it’s quite a big one. Before you even visit Rivet Town you’ll be exploring Jarilo VI for a few hours. Eventually you meet an interesting character named Hook, she is the leader of The Adventurous Moles, a group of kids that like to explore and play games in Jarilo VI.

Where To Find The Market Key In Honkai Star Rail

Eventually, you will reach the Rivet Town area. In Rivet Town there is a gate, marked by a red line on the map, that is locked. When you approach the locking mechanism for the gate, it tells you that it requires the Market Key in order to unlock it. You need to follow Hook and her friends on their journey to obtain the Market Key.

Keep following the side quest chain for Hook, this involves a lot of quests finding thieves and other things. Eventually, toward the end of the quest chain, you’ll receive a The Key To Somewhere. You will then have another quest appear on your journal to speak with Julian. Follow that quest to speak with Julian and give him the key. He will then tell you that it’s used on a gate in Rivet Town.

You then get the Market Key and can use it to open the gate.

The Market Key is a unique item that is used to unlock a gate in the Rivet Town area of Jarilo VI
You need to follow the quest chain for Hook and The Adventurous Moles, eventually culminating in a quest that gives you a Key To Somewhere
Deliver the Key to Somewhere to Julian and in exchange they will tell you what the key is for
You then get given the Market Key and can use it to open the market

During a quest in Rivet Town you find a Key to Somewhere. This guide on What To Do With The Key To Somewhere In Honkai Star Rail will tell you what you need to do with the key in order to use it, as it’s very likely you’ve already found the appropriate gate, you just need to transform the key into an item you can use.

If you have been exploring Rivet Town in Jarilo VI, you have likely already found the gate that requires the Market Key to open. In Rivet Town there is a single gate marked by a red line on the map that has the locking device outside. You need to interact with the locking device while holding the Market Key in order to open the gate. However, once you first get the Key to Somewhere, you’re not quite sure where it is used so you need to do something with it before you can progress.

What To Do With The Key To Somewhere In Honkai Star Rail

As you continue to follow the quest chain for Julian, Hook, and The Adventerous Moles, you will eventually receive the Key to Somewhere. Once you have this key you need to travel to Julian in Jarilo VI. Once you have obtained the key a new quest appears in your journal so you can simply follow the navigation prompts in order to reach Julian’s location.

Once you reach Julian speak with them and ask about the Key to Somewhere. Julian will then explain that the key is for an old gate in the Rivet Town area. This then turns the key into the Market Key which you can now use on the gate to gain access.

Once you have the Key to Somewhere, open your journal and track the quest to find Julian’s location
Once you have found Julian give him the Key to Somewhere and he will tell you where you can use it
You are then given the Market Key
You can now use the Market Key to open the gate in Rivet Town and gain access to the fight and treasure behind it
