Also, the “Time for a Raid!” Mesuking event can already be done on chapter 7, assuming if you have enough cards for it.

I noticed a lot of people are having trouble triggering the “Of Luck and Debt” event, so I’ll share the conditions at which it started for me: Storyline-wise, I’m at the start of chapter 7, during the daytime. I’ve finished a bunch of other substories, including all 4 chapters of “the Yakuza’s Apprentice”. I just finished “Bad Boy in Blue” before deciding to try and visit Shellac.
I have not yet ordered everything off the menu at Shellac, so that is not a requirement.
I bought 2 drinks, left the bar, circled the controller a few times and went back in, at which point I noticed the Bartender’s “speech bubble” appear. Talking to him then activated the substory. I hope this helps other players!

Heeey, the “The Professor’s past” fight guide is very wrong. It’s my fourth time trying the fight and only the Rock in the beginning was right.

To the guy who said this is a horrible guide and very vague and incorrect in multiple areas this guide helped me a lot it gives sufficient information to find the correct substory at least in my opinion and time I played this all substories finished thanks to this guide to be honest

“Substory #9 – The Stalker” didn’t appear before chapter 11 for me.

In reply to Captain Camper. Wouldn't go as far as saying "horrible". There are some parts that are accurate and others not as much. For what it's worth, it did help in some cases where the game had made changes from the ps2 version and required some new references. So until a legit guide comes out, you can take it or leave it.
