Grimoire Dungeons are an exciting feature that opens through story progression. This Shining Resonance Refrain Grimoire Dungeon Guide will walk you through the basics of the dungeons, the use of Crests and the different beneficial dungeon effects you can seek out.
After you reach a certain part of the story in Shining Resonance Refrain, you unlock Grimoire Dungeons that can be entered at town or anywhere you can find Alfriede. Once you have unlocked the Grimoire you can speak with Alfriede to apply your crests and enter a Grimoire Dungeon.

Once unlocked, the Grimoire will make several dungeons available. Each different Grimoire Dungeon is unique in appearance and enemies, as well as the final reward – which is shown on the Special Rewards option prior to selecting your dungeon. Before you enter, make sure you have the correct party assigned. You are not able to switch between party members once you are inside the dungeon.You can rotate between the different dungeons but for the most part, they are very similar. While each look different and hold different enemies and loot, the process to victory is much of the same. The dungeons level alongside your party, increasing in level to match your highest characters abilities. Difficulty can be further increased with Crests that you can put in the Bookmarks.
These are where it all happens, the crests. Crests can be found after defeating monsters, as items left on the ground, through quest rewards and occasionally, inside treasure chests. When adding new Crests you will notice Dungeon Effects change, which is based on the Crests you add. The Dungeon Level can also increase, so be cautious that you don’t make it more than you can handle.
The Crests can be used as a way of completing quests where you have to defeat specific enemy types. It can also be a fantastic way of leveling or obtaining rare items, as rare Crests allow you to summon much more difficult monsters.
