When you speak with your contact, Anthony Foreman, he will give you a list of Blood Money Crimes. There are two main types of crimes, basic crimes, and contracts. Basic Crimes are simple missions, quick to complete, rarely challenging, and reward small amounts of Capitale IF you are lucky enough to loot some. These are regularly available and should be farmed when the other missions aren’t available. You can check your Capitale balance by speaking with Anthony Foreman and asking about Opportunities or checking the valuables tab in your Satchel.

How To Get More Capitale In Red Dead Online

A word of warning. This is an incredibly slow grind. We have completed 6+ Crimes and several 3 mission contracts and so far, have only found 2 Capitale in missions. Both from looting from corpses, both during contracts. We have a lot more experimenting to do before coming up with the fastest method but so far, it’s going to take days of farming these missions to complete one opportunity.

• Complete Blood Money Crimes for your contact for a chance at small amounts of Capitale
• Complete the series of quests related to Contracts for a higher reward of Capitale
• Complete quickdraw objectives
• Loot important enemies and characters during Capitale missions for more rewards
• Search containers and loot boxes during Captiale related missions for more rewards.
• You can purchase a special pack from a fence for 3 Gold Bars

It’s worth noting that the loot ratio is not good. After doing 5-6 missions, our group was able to loot a single Capitale. If you find a Capitale on a body it is not shared with your party and they cannot loot the same body.

This is currently the fastest method we have but the DLC has only just launched. To put it into perspective, after 5 hours of play we found 2 Capitale in a group of two. That was it. Using this method, you can get 1-2 in about 3 minutes, including loading and dialogue, so this is much faster than just doing missions.

Fastest Way To Farm Capitale In Red Dead Online

Be careful. As soon as you enter the warehouse an invisible enemy will begin shooting at you. You can’t do anything about this. You may die on your first couple of attempts but once you learn where the lockbox is, you can complete it every time before you’re killed. As soon as you enter the barn/warehouse, the lockbox is directly to your left near a table. You need to approach it quickly and open it. You will get either 1 Capitale, 2 Capitale, or a treasure. So far we estimate around a 75% drop rate for the Capitale.

After you loot the lockbox press Start and go to the “Online” tab. Then select Crimes. This will leave the mission and spawn you next to another Blood Money Contact so you can choose The Jeb Phelps Contract again. Rinse and repeat.

• Start The Jeb Phelps Contract
• Ignore the objective. Head to the Barn/Warehouse at the entrance to the town
• Immediately on the left as you enter the barn, loot the Lockbox
• Be careful of the invisible enemy. After a couple of runs you will be able to get the box without dying 100%
• After you loot the Lockbox press start and go to the Online option
• Select Crimes to leave the mission and spawn near a contract to repeat the process.

And that’s the fastest way to farm Capitale in Red Dead Online.

Every Bloody Money mission you complete rewards you with a small amount of Capitale. There are different types of missions. Basic Blood Money Crimes can be complete for small amounts of Capitale but there are other missions, Blood Money Contracts, that offer more substantial narrative alongside the promise of better rewards. Completing these missions, loot enemies, and finding hidden caches, these activities will all reward you with Capitale.

What Do You Do With Capitale In Red Dead Online

Speak with your Bloody Money contact, Anthony Foreman, and then press R1/RB to open the Opportunities tab. This is where you can see the Capitale opportunities. You have to invest the Capitale, sort of like a reputation, in order to unlock the Opportunities.

• Capitale can be earned by completing Capitale missions and looting enemies
• You can check the balance of your Capitale by speaking with a Blood Money contact and checking the Opportunities
• You spend your Capitale to unlock Opportunity missions that promise better rewards.

There are several ways to get more Capitale fast in Red Dead Online but the game doesn’t make it obvious when you find some. Capitale is the main currency of the Bloody Money update and is used to access more lucrative missions and contracts that provide both more of a challenge and increasingly valuable rewards.

How To Check Your Capitale In Red Dead Online

If you want to check your current Capitale balance you need to speak with your contact. You can head to Saint Denis and speak with Anthony Foreman there. He is marked on the map by a teardrop icon with a dollar sign icon inside the teardrop. Speak with him about Blood Money missions and you will see a list of Blood Money Missions, specifically, Crimes. Press R1/RB to go to another menu, Opportunities.

These are special missions that require a Capitale investment in order to unlock. The first mission, Covington Emerald, the first Blood Money Opportunity, costs 15 Capitale. When you are on the Bloody Money Mission Opportunities screen, you can see your current Capitale balance in the top right corner of the screen.

• Hold Right to open your Satchel. Check the valuables tab and look for Capitale or you can check at the contact
• Complete the introduction mission to the Blood Money DLC
• Track down your contact Anthony Foreman in Saint Denis
• Speak with Anthony about Blood Money missions
• Select the Opportunities tab to see your Capitale balance in the top right corner of the screen

The Moonfang Wolf is one of the new additions to Red Dead Online as part of the Naturalist update. However, if you want the Moonstone Wolf Pelt, you won’t be taking a sample of this legendary animal, you’ll be wanting to take its pelt so you can exchange it with Gus for the Moonstone Coat. Where To Find The Moonfang Wolf in Red Dead Online

There are a lot of people searching for the Moonfang Wolf at the moment, so be wary. I had another player show up and kill me before I could do much. Go in passive mode beforehand to at least give you time to react. Once you have the skin you can return to Gus for the reward.

For exact locations, we have a Red Dead Online Legendary Animal Locations Guide, this is more for tips on the process of hunting them down. Once you have unlocked The Naturalist you can speak with Harriet and purchase supplies. You will need the first Legendary Animals map and enough ammunition to take one down, we suggest filling up on ammo as you will get through it quickly. The map provides a general location for the animals, but they are still very tough to track down. Other players are currently all searching for the same thing, so it’s difficult.

How To Find Legendary Animals In Red Dead Online

Once you have found the Legendary Animal, you’ll want to use the special ammo and hit headshots where possible. If not possible, just shoot enough bullets until another notification pops up. It reads something like “You have successfully sedated the legendary animal”. At this point, stop firing and wait for the animal to pass out. It will collapse on the floor, allowing you to approach and take a sample.

You can purchase Legendary Animal Pheromones but I feel they are a complete waste of time. They cost $20 and merely mark the animal on your minimap, which you can achieve with 4-5 minutes of exploration in each area. They do not spawn or aid with the spawn of Legendary Animals, so I would avoid these.

We’ve found a few Legendary Animals but be warned, it’s a long and very frustrating process. We searched every area, multiple times, and have only found three so far. Whether sedated or escape, we have waited in the area for over an hour, and an in-game day, and have still not seen it respawn.

Although there are Naturalist missions that involve the Legendary Animals, they are not required in order to track them down. All you need is some ammunition and, once you have started the Naturalist Frontier Pursuit, you will be able to track down Legendary Animals and knock them out. Remember, killing animals will not reward you with any experience points for the Naturalist tree, so make sure you bring the right ammunition for the job.

Legendary Animals can be tough to track down. You can use the pheromones but they do not spawn animals, they simply tell you if one is nearby. Not worth the $20 a piece. As with all firearms, when using the sedation ammo, you want to aim for the head. After enough shots a notification will appear saying you have sedated the legendary animal.

Below is a list of the Legendary Animals so far, there are mission animals from Harriet. These are guaranteed spawns in a private instance, so they are a great way for Naturalist experience points, or to unlock new clothing items.

• Legendary Boar (Wakpa) – Lower Montana River, Thieves Landing Area
• Legendary Ram (Gabbro Horn Ram) – South of Fort Mercer
• Legendary Beaver (Zizi) – Lake Owanjila
• Legendary Elk (Ozula) – Cholla Springs
• Legendary Fox (Ota Fox) – West of Rhodes
• Legendary Wolf (Moonfang Wolf) – West of Cairn Lake
• Legendary Ram (Rutile Horn Ram) – Level 5 mission with Harriet
• Legendary Boar (Icachi Boar) – Level 5 mission with Harriet
• Legendary Beaver (Night Beaver) – Level 5 mission with Harriet
• Legendary Fox (Cross Fox) – Level 5 mission with Harriet
• Legendary Elk (Inahme Elk) – Level 5 mission with Harriet
• Legendary Cougar (Maza Cougar) – Near Sea of Coronado (Need level 10 Legendary Animals map)

Warning: There are likely multiple spawns for each Legendary Animal and the respawn rate appears incredibly slow. It’s difficult to be certain, as there are a lot of players hunting them down, but we camped out the Legendary Boar spot for a good couple of hours and it didn’t respawn. If you’re likely to get frustrated chasing these down, I would wait until non-peak times or even give it a few days.

If you approach a Legendary Animal and you’re too slow to sedate them, they will run away and despawn, so be quick.

Red Dead Online Legendary Animal Locations Guide

Where To Find Legendary Boar (Wakpa)

The Legendary Wakpa Boar sample sells for $13.50 and awards you with 200 Naturalist Experience Points. Was found during the day, normal weather.

Can also spawn here, at the center of the red reticle.

Where To Find Legendary Ram (Gabbro Horn Ram)

The Legendary Ram sample sells for $10 and awards you with 200 Naturalist Experience Points. Was found during the day, normal weather.

Where To Find Legendary Beaver (Zizi)

We’ve found the Beaver three times, all three times the spawn location was different, but they were all on the shores of the lake.

Where To Find Legendary Elk (Ozula)

Spawn during the daytime at this location. There are two horses nearby. It wasn’t there at first, I rode away further North, it was there when I returned. It was daytime and slightly foggy. We also saw it at this same spot later in the day, around 11pm.

Where To Find Legendary Fox (Ota Fox)

Found a short distance from the waters edge. I searched here for a while, and nothing. Then it spawned. It has been found in the evening and the afternoon so time doesn’t seem to matter much.

Where To Find Legendary Wolf (Moonfang Wolf)

I was in this area for about 90 minutes before I found the Moonfang Wolf at this location.

Where To Find Legendary Cougar (Maza Cougar)

You must be at least level 10 Naturalist so you have the extended map that reveals more locations.

We know this is a very limited listed but hopefully it’s at least somewhat helpful for these Legendary Animals. We are working on the guide right now. We have checked every location on the map but found nothing, it could be due to other players, weather conditions, there’s a lot we don’t know yet. We’ll be updating this soon.

Obviously you must first unlock The Naturalist before you can do any of the associated activities. Then you need to find Harriet and purchase some supplies. You will need to purchase some Rifle Cartridges – Sedative Varmint. You can purchase the Pamphlet for the recipe if you wish but to get started, you will just need the cartridges.

How To Increase Naturalist Rank In Red Dead Online

Find a deer or something smaller. Hit them with a few shots and then follow them. I targeted an American Pronghorn Buck. It took about 15-20 shots total. If you let the animal escape, the sedative wears off very fast. Hit them with as many shots as possible, you will soon see the animation change. They will no longer be sprinting, they will hobble. Eventually it will drop to the floor and then you can collect your Sample. You can also buy medicines from Harriet that allows you to revive the animal after you have sedated it. Waking the animal gives you further Naturalist experience points.

Once you have some Samples return to Harriet’s location and sell them to her. This is where the bulk of the experience points comes from, you get Experience Points for each Sample sold, and a small bit of cash too..
