Yakuza 0 Master Ability Guide – Learning All The Skills

Yakuza 0 Master Ability Guide - Learning All The Skills
Yakuza 0 features an exciting variety of powerful combat styles, each of which can be improved through the learning of new skills and techniques. This Yakuza 0 Master Ability Guide goes over the requirements to learn and acquire the special Master abilities that are typically locked on the progression wheel of each stance.

Yakuza 0 Master Ability Guide – How To Learn Master Skills

Yakuza 0 Master Ability Guide - How To Learn Master Skills
The two main characters you get to play as in Yakuza 0, Goro Majima and Kazuma Kiryu, each have entirely different styles they can use in combat. As such each has to acquire these skills from different trainers. The trainers are all obvious and are typically found through progressing through the main story. However, simply finding each of these master trainers does not give you access to all of the abilities they can teach.

Check the ability wheel for any of the stances. You will see five icons marked with an M and a lock. These are the master skills. Highlight any of these skills and you will get a corresponding number, one through five. The skills are progressive, meaning if you unlock one first, you will be able to learn that with the master. However, you cannot bypass straight through to five.

When you speak to your master they will teach you the special abilities. If they do not have anything to teach you they will tell you to train further. You need to make sure that you have first completed any previous mastery skills and then ensure you have unlocked prerequisite abilities. For example, if you want to unlock a master skill, you have to first unlock a path to the skill. In the image featured above I need to learn the Heat Wave 1 skill to open the path to the mastery skill.

Blaine "Captain Camper" Smith is one of the original founders of Gamers Heroes. Now operating under the guise of Editor-in-Chief (purely because we felt the position was needed for public relations purposes), he's tasked with a lot of the kind of jobs that would put you to sleep at your desk. When he's not catching some Zs, you'll likely find him arguing points he knows nothing about, playing the latest rogue-like he'll never complete, or breaking something on the website that never needed fixing.
