He now sells the Three Of Coins, which increases your chances for Exotic engram drops on Strikes. These will cost you 7 Strange Coins for 5 of them.

He will sell one piece of Exotic armor for each class.

He sells the Titan Class Helmet “An Insurmountable Skullfort” for 13 Strange Coins.

Here are the Skullfort’s traits.

Passive: Improved Transfusion – Kills with Storm Fist immediately trigger health regeneration. Respawn with full melee energy. Gain a second melee charge.

Slot 1 : Improved Discipline – Increase the Discipline bonus provided by this piece of gear.

Alternative Slot 1 : Increased Strength – Increase the Strength bonus provided by this piece of gear.

Slot 2 : Hands-on – Gain bonus super energy from melee kills on minions of Darkness.

Alternative Slot 2 : – Heavy Lifting – Gain bonus super energy from heavy weapon kills on minions of Darkness.

Slot 3 – Invigoration : Gain bonus melee energy on Orb pickups.

For the Hunter he will sell “Young Ahamkara’s Spine” for 13 Strange Coins.

Passive: Fieldtrip – Increased Tripmine grenade duration and gain an additional Tripmine grenade charge.

Slot 1 : Increase Discipline – This will increase the Discipline bonus provided by this gear.

Alternative Slot 2 : Increase Strength – Increases the strength bonus provided by this piece of gear.

Slot 2 : Fastball – Increases grenade throw distance.

Slot 2 : Momentum Transfer –
For the Warlock he will sell “The Impossible Machine” for 13 Strange Coins.

He also sells an Legacy Heavy Engram which is Year 1 Exotics, avoid this unless you want a Year one and transform it into a Year 2.

He sells an Exotic Helmet Engram for 19 if you want to risk it.

After that return to the Tower and get the quest The Vanguards Hand, which has you patrolling the Dreadnaught. You will have to set up Patrol quest points and do a few other things while you are there. This will let you do Patrol missions and free roam on the Dreadnaught.

When you return to the Tower and turn in that quest, talk to Eris and she will give you the quest “A Broken Will”. Talk to the Crucible quartermaster and he will let you know what you need to get. You will need to go to the Dreadnaught and farm Hadium Flakes, you will also need 10 Motes of Light.

Once you have the Materials you will have a choice to make. There are three swords to choose from but you can only pick one. You will need to spend 25 Relic iron, 25 Helium Fragment or 25 Spinmetal to get the sword of your choice. The three swords are the three elements in the game.

You get this from Petra on the Reef. You should bring a Fireteam for this mission because you will be facing lvl 40 enemies.

The first objective is simple, collect Fallen Ether. All you have to do is run around earth killing Fallen and collecting the items they drop. You might have to kill 50 or so but it won’t be that bad compared to the rest of the quest.

The second objective is to collect Blighted Ether which is gotten from Fallen. You can get this easily from main story quests or from the skull and crossbones patrol quests. I guess you could also get it when you fight the Fallen Champions but I already had it by then.

Here are the two tricky objectives. You need to defeat 2 Taken Champions and find the Curious Object. The units don’t just roam around the area so finding them can be difficult. What you want to do is head to The Divide and wait. You might have to wait for around 10 minutes but eventually The Taken will spawn. Here is where you get you Taken Champions and your Curious Object.

The Champion is the boss. After you put a whoppin on The Taken a boss unit will spawn, that unit will have the Curious Object, kill him to collect it. You will have to do it twice for two champions.

This is by no means easy even at level 40. It is highly recommended that you bring a fire team!

The best spot to find The Taken on Venus is the Ishtar Cliffs. Same us before, kill the captains to spawn the boss and get the item. You need to kill two bosses again, which means two waves. They can spawn in a couple different spots along the Cliffs so check around if you don’t see a captain. If you are having trouble, go between The Shattered Coast and Ishtar Cliffs for more spawns.

There are several quests involving the Calcified Fragments in Destiny The Taken King. We’ll keep this article updated as we progress through the game. Be sure to cancel your mission and return to Eris Morn as soon as you’ve collected enough to complete that stage of the quest, other wise you risk bugging it out.

Quest 1: Collect your first Calcified Fragment

Quest 2: Collect 5 Calcified Fragments
Reward: Reciprocal Rune

Calcified Fragment Location 1

When you first arrive at the Dreadnaught you will be told to explore it. You will eventually come up to some disappearing bridges that you can see with your Ghost. Cross over the broken bridges to the other side and go all the way to the left. Use your Ghost to see more bridges you can cross. Follow that all the way to the right and inside the room you can find the Calcified Fragment.

Calcified Fragment Location 2

This one is still at the disappearing bridge area. This time instead of going left, go right and use your Ghost at the end. Cross to the bridge and inside the room you can find the Fragment.

Calcified Fragment Location 3

Once you enter the hallway with the gate, you will have to crawl through a hole to get around it. Go through the second hole and go to the end of the hallway. You can find the Fragment at the end, under the broken pillar.

Calcified Fragment Location 4

The next area is at the second set of hidden bridges. When you cross the bridge, take a right and you will end up in a room a bunch of broken pillars. The pillar near the green crystals has the Fragment on top of it, you can use it to see it at least.

Calcified Fragment Location 5

One of the weapons you will have to disable is near a corridor with a bunch of statues. The weapon is across a fully formed bridge. There is a path to the right of the stairs that leads to more invisible bridges. Use you ghost on the right corner and follow it up to the right platform for another Fragment.

Calcified Fragment Location 6

This one is near the large warp gate that hard the giant Taken Knight come out of it. If you go to the right edge at the pillars you should see the Fragment on the side of the pillar. Jump over to it, crouch and grab it.

Calcified Fragment Location 7

This one is in the Hall Of Souls. There is a large doorway with green crystals and tendrils coming out of it. From there you should see a broken pillar near some steps and a doorway near the pillar, do not go in the doorway with the green crystals. Go to the pillar and take that door. Go right through the hole and follow that crystal you can scan. In that room you can find another hole near the crystal, take it. Go through until you find yellow crystal and on the metal part near there you can find the Fragment.

Calcified Fragment Location 8

You can find this one in the Hull Breach area, shortly after you arrive. Next to the breach you can see the broken part of the ship and bunch of platforms. You will need to jump up to the top in order to get this one.

Calcified Fragment Location 9

When you spawn in at the Breach you can find this one. Go down below where you spawn and you can find a door. Inside that door, take a left and behind the pillar you can find the Fragment.

Calcified Fragment Location 10

This one can be found in the Mausoleum, after you exit the Cabal ship. The second door way on the left is where you want to go. Head in there and through the whole then look up and left to find the Fragment.

Calcified Fragment Location 11

This one can be found in the Mausoleum, after you exit the Cabal ship. Go up to the statue and look down to the left for a doorway. Go in there and to the left, behind the machine thing, you can find the Fragment.

Calcified Fragment Location 12

This one can be found in the Mausoleum, after you exit the Cabal ship. Head towards the bright light at the end of the area. If you go to the right platform and use your ghost, you can see the bridges that lead to that distant platform. Follow that path all the way to the end and you can find the Fragment in the corner.

Calcified Fragment Location 13

This one is also in the Mausoleum, after you exit the Cabal Ship. When you are down near the statues, look at the ship to see an opening. You can go in there if you want, below that is where you find the Fragment. It is on one of the pillars jutting out underneath.

Calcified Fragment Location 14

For this one go on a patrol in the Dreadnaught. If you got all the way to the back right corner you will find a door you can enter. Go in there and take a left and follow that through the to the hole. Take a left through the next hole and follow that all the way to the end, you should see black pillars and maybe a chest. That is the room you want to be in.

Calcified Fragment Location 15

This one is in the Mausoleum on the very furthest platform near the really bright, tall light source at the end of the room. It is inside the chest that reads “Scent is Key”. To open the “Scent is Key” box you have to solve a little riddle and prove your agility. Before jumping to the platform you need to get the “Scent”. There is a small cave on the same side as the far platform but back near all the enemies. It’s in the door directly at the bottom of the stairs, head inside and take the hole to the left.

Once in the cave you need to sit there for about 60 seconds – you’ll know you’re in the right place as your screen goes green and hazy. You’ll know you’ve waited long enough when you leave and you see Worm Scent on the left side of your screen. You need to get to the Scent is Key chest within the 60 seconds. Try to memorize the platform locations and be wary of the Blind enemies that appear.

Calcified Fragment Location 16

You can get a Fragment by using the runes in the court of Oryx. It seems to be random from the chest, but we got it using a Stolen Rune on the second altar.

Calcified Fragment Location 17

This one can be found in the area where you originally come into the Dreadnaught. I’m not sure if you can get this one during the Story mission or not, I missed it if so. At the end of the room you will find a dead end hallway on the right, to the left of the closed door you can find it.

Calcified Fragment Location 18

This one can be found in the area where you originally come into the Dreadnaught. I’m not sure if you can get this one during the Story mission or not, I missed it if so. If you look down to the right from the drop off point you can see the glimmer of the Fragment. Fly on down and pick it up.

Calcified Fragment Location 19

This one can be found right after the first set of invisible bridges, near the metal gate. On the opposite side of the Gate you can find three downed pillars. Jump up to the top and you can find a Fragment there.

Calcified Fragment Location 20

These next few will be found during the Sunless Cell Strike. As soon as you enter, run down to the metal gate and you can see it through there. You can grab it at the gate, I couldn’t get it when I crouched.

Calcified Fragment Location 21

This one is also in the Sunless Cell Strike. After you get the one near the gate, take the hallway to the next room. To the right you will see pillars and hanging cells (maybe coffins?). Go to the end and look up to the left and you will see this one near the ceiling, jet pack to it.

Calcified Fragment Location 22

Another Sunless Cell Strike one. Right before you enter the area with the Wizards you need to kill you can see two coffins in the left corner. Jump up and go behind them to find your next Fragment.

Calcified Fragment Location 23

Another Sunless Cell Strike one. This is in the room where you need to remove the batteries for the barrier. As soon as you come in, look left and go to the edge. You should see it down there.

Calcified Fragment Location 24

Another Sunless Cell Strike one. You get this one when you enter the room with the long bridge and a ton of hanging cells. Look up to left and you can see a ledge, jet pack up and you can grab this Fragment.

Calcified Fragment Location 25

This one you need the Key of Ur to get, you can get it on a random drop in a Patrol Mission, I think. The chest is right below where you spawn in on patrol in a cave.

Calcified Fragment Location 26

You need the key of Akka for this one, I found mine during the Court Of Oryx battles. This one is near the Court itself. You can find a cave system that has a poisonous floor, it is right before the floor gets deadly.

Calcified Fragment Location 27

This one is in the caves with the poison floor, near the Court of Oryx. In order to get this you will need to use an ultimate that gives you more defense. We used a Titan bubble to open it. There is apparently a named Wizard somewhere around that will give you a buff to make the floor not harm you, I couldn’t find it.

Calcified Fragment Location 28

You find this one on the Shield Brother Strike. In the room right before the boss is where you find it. It is the really destroyed room. In the right corner, under a couple of fallen pillars you can find it.

Calcified Fragment Location 29

We got another drop here doing the Court of Oryx. This one came from the Ogre boss using a Stolen Rune.

Calcified Fragment Location 30

This was a drop from the main boss in the Weekly Nightfall Strike.

For this mission you will have to fight your way to the objective marker. Once you are there you will have to hold the line against the Vex for awhile. This literally is just you killing Vex until a timer runs out. If you feel like you are being overwhelmed, pop your ult and use some heavy weaponry. After you beat all the Vex waves you will get a second objective. Now you need to locate a dead ghost and scan it.

Here you will find Tevis and you will unlock the Nightstalker Subclass. You will have to use it to defeat some enemies and avenge Tevis. Go wild with you new abilities and complete it. After you complete it, return to the Tower to turn it in and to get a new piece of class armor.

Go to Venus and follow the marker to the mercenary clan you are searching for, The Sunbreakers. Once you get to the marker, deploy you ghost and you will get a new way marker. Go up the stairs and out the door and you will find some enemies. If you are high enough level you and just skip past them but you might miss out on some of the new engrams. At the end of the path you will run into an Elite Hydra you will have to kill for the first part of the quest. Use your ultimate if you need to and your heavy weapon to make quick work of it.

The next part of the quest is to light a forge and wait to get your new Subclass. You will have to use the Sunbreaker Subclass to kill enemies for awhile. Once it you get to 100% of enemies killed, you will be this part of the quest and gain the Sunbreaker skill set. If you have bounties saved up for The Taken King, now is the time to use them.

Head back to the Tower to complete the quest and get some bonus EXP and Armor.

You will have to do the first part of The Taken King quest in order to unlock this quest. The quest is called The Stormcaller’s Path and you can get it from the Warlock Vanguard Quartermaster. This is a single player quest and you will be facing Vex and Cabal.

Use your Ghost to help you find out where you are going. I was already level 34 so I was easily able to fly through without dying. If you aren’t that high of a level, fight your way through until you reach the barrier. The barrier will have 3 elite Hobgoblins that spawn. You will have to kill them in order to open the barrier. I just used my Rocket Launcher on them and quickly got through it.

After you go through the barrier you will have to deal with a large Vex enemy that has a shield, the name of the unit escapes me at the moment. Pretty simple, toss nades, target the weak spot and use your ultimate when you are ready. After you beat him you will get the second part of the quest, Bottle The Arc.

For this part you will have to go to three points and meditate in them. Each time you will have to defend yourself from some Vex while the meter charges up. It isn’t that difficult to take care of them, use your super if you have to. After you get all three you will unlock the Stormcaller sub class and have to use it. Prepare to feel stronger than you ever have before in Destiny. Run ,with your special refilling rapidly, and lay waste to the Vex.

After that return to the Tower for an extra reward. This would be a good time to use those quests you’ve been saving up from before The Taken King hit!

The Pack comes with three different kinds of Rifles and a Shader. You can pick an Assault Rifle, Pulse Rifle and a Scout Rifle to help you on your journey. They aren’t all that impressive until you upgrade them.

You can find them at the Vanguard Quartermaster in the Tower. The robot can be found on the right side of the Tower from where you come in at. He is to the right at the bottom of the steps.

If you didn’t meet the requirements by now, you cannot get these rewards. You either needed BOTH DLC packs by August 31st or you needed to be Light level 30 by then.

EDIT

According to Bungie you will need to delete the items from your inventory before THe Taken King hits or you will miss out on the quest line!! Avoid getting them for now! Bungie Link . You can risk it and pick them up still but delete them before The Taken King hits!!

Make sure you read above before picking these up or you risk missing out on the VIP quest!! You will get a bonus Shader, Emblem and a Sparrow. You can get the Emblem and Shader from the Emblem collection and the Shader art the Shader collection, they are under the promotional tabs. The Sparrow can be found at the Vehicle Koiosk under the promotional tab as well.

If you are having trouble getting them, log in and out of Destiny a few times and try again. The servers are a little wonky at the moment so you might have to try a few times.

Here if what the Old Guard Shader looks like on this hunter (not me). Again, Delete these items before The Taken King Launches or risk messing up your VIP quest!
