5 Reasons You Should Try Melee In Fallout 4

5 Reasons you should try melee in Fallout 4 2
In Fallout 4, Melee weapons are among some of the strongest weapons in the game. The question is, should you use them over guns and laser weapons? Here we will give you 5 Reasons You Should Try Melee In Fallout 4!

5 Reasons You Should Try Melee In Fallout 4

I know what you are thinking, won’t I be gunned down in Melee? Actually the AI doesn’t really run around that much when you get in their faces. With the addition of sprint you can get in quick and kill even quicker. I found myself taking more damage when I was using a gun.

Brutal Kills – Melee weapons have a power attack that can potentially kill in one shot. If it is s one shot kill, you will sometimes get a brutal finisher. I’ve chopped off limbs, went low and then high and even just stabbed someone down through the shoulder. It does take a bit of AP to use these moves though.

Chance To Disarm – No I don’t mean disarm as in chopping off arms, though that is a thing. With melee weapons and the right perk you can actually disarm an opponent making them way easier to kill. This is great for when you are taking on multiple enemies or enemies with powerful weapons like miniguns or flamers.

5 Reasons you should try melee in Fallout 4

Dismembering – Sure shooting someone’s head off is cool and all, but the real fun is in taking off limbs. With your melee weapons you can take legs, arms and even the head straight off of opponents from time to time. Things like Ghouls will fall apart easily while they rush you and Raiders will soon find their heads on the floor with the right weapons. If you are looking for an easy way to take off heads, pop a Buffout and Psycho and rush in.

Always Hit In Vats – If you are close enough to use it, VATS is a guaranteed hit. You can’t aim for specific parts like gun, but the damage you do should make up for the lack of part picking. I normally just sprint up and use VATS to finish off my first two enemies.

More Caps – Since you don’t have to repair your weapons in Fallout 4, you can stick to same melee weapon for awhile and not lose any money. This means all other weapons you pick up can be sold for 100% profit. The other thing is you don’t use ammo. Not using ammo means that you can sell all your ammo for some extra caps. Ammo doesn’t weigh anything so you could be carrying around a couple thousand worth of Caps there alone.
