The first time you will encounter this problem is likely when you are trying to make the Timber Wolves Assault Top, which is part of the Timber Wolves set and is a requirement for completing one of the objectives in the Wilderness Survival Adventure Guide in the Arm Yourself Category.

How To Craft Weapons When It Says You Don’t Have The Materials In Undawn

If you are attempting to craft a weapon at the Workbench and the materials don’t match up with what’s in your inventory, it’s likely because you haven’t Refined the materials. For example, when we encountered this problem, we attempted to make the Timber Wolves Assault Top. One of the materials required is Wooden Boards and the Wooden Boards required Redwood Cedar. When I checked my bags and the Raw Materials section, I had over 80.

And that was the problem. Items that are stored in your Raw Materials bag cannot be stored in your Homestead and they cannot be used in crafting. You must follow the main story until you unlock the Raw Materials Workbench. You can then use that bench to covert Raw Materials into Refined Materials that can be used in crafting.

The amount of resources you can refine each day is limited, so you want to do your best to make sure you refine as much as you can each day.

It’s important to understand that Health and Hitpoints are two entirely different things in Undawn. If you look at the top left, when playing the game, you will see your Hitpoints, or HP as the game calls it, on the green bar. Below that are two grey bars, one of which represents your Health. The grey bar is the one we are talking about here.

How To Increase & Restore Health In Undawn

When you are hurt, when a wound festers, when you catch a cold or get hit by lightning, all of these things have a negative impact on your Health. To restore your Health to maximum you can just use items. For example, when you search through your backpack for items look at Antibody Medicine and Bandages. The Antibody Medicine specifically states that it restores “30 Health”. Whereas the bandage says it restores 100 HP.

Using the Antibody Medicine, and any items that say restores Health, will increase and restore your Health bar back to full.

Early in the Homestead tutorial, you will build Simple Pine Cabinets. These are okay for storage as they can store up to 14 items. However, they do take up space and they do require materials to make. As such, we don’t recommend building too many of these as you will quickly be able to upgrade and replace them with much better storage.

It’s worth noting that the farming system in Undawn is a progressive one. This means, at least at first, it’s very limited in the space and what you can grow. As you continue to increase in level you will unlock more farming plots. To begin with you can unlock 5 Farming Plots for 100-200 silver each. You will then need to increase your characters level if you want to unlock additional plots in which to farm.

How To Unlock Farming In Undawn

Once you reach Level 3 Homestead you will unlock farming. You can then use the farm that’s within the Homestead to grow crops. Before you can do this, however, you must first clear the crop spots of weeds. This costs 100 Silver at first then increases to 200 Silver. You can only clear a certain amount of crop locations depending on your characters level.

Once you progress far enough into the story you will unlock your very own Homestead. In this Homestead you can craft, rest, relax, and do everything you need to maintain your mental and physical health. It’s a central part of the game so it’s a good idea to get familiar with the features and facilities on offer. After a short while, you should be up to level up your Homstead.

How To Increase Homestead Level In Undawn

At the top of this new menu you should see the name of your Homestead. Just above that, there will be a level icon with a green arrow. Simply press on the green arrow and you will be taken to the level-up interface. This tells you what you get for leveling and the materials required to level up. As long as you have the materials, simply press to upgrade.

Best part is, there’s no timer either. It just upgrades instantly.

Undawn features a massive and dangerous game world, so using your motorbike or another vehicle to get around is both smart and quick. It’s a great tool to get access too very early as it removes a lot of the typically dull and mundane back and forth you get in most open-world games. Thankfully, after completing the initial tutorial, you can summon and use your vehicle whenever you like.

If you are playing on mobile open the main menu and select the “Settings” option. From there select the “Key Layout” option. This will bring up a list of most of the controls in the game. Scroll down until you see the Call/Leave vehicle option. That’s how you summon your vehicle. It may be different for mobile as I imagine most of the prompts are on-screen, but that should be enough to learn how to do it.

Firstly, the tdatamaster.dll file is not actually missing. If you check the games files you will find the file in the directory. You can attempt to repair or redownload on Steam but in our experience, this did not fix the problem. The issue appears to be related to MS Visual Studio.

When you attempt to launch the game via Steam the error reads:

Error Code [126]: Failed to load tdatamaster.dll, the file is missing or corrupt! Trying to reinstall the program may fix the problem.

How To Fix Error Code 126 In Undawn tdatamaster.dll

After suffering this problem ourselves we stumbled upon a YouTube video from Bora Lá Jogar. No English audio is available but the subtitles provide enough information to solve the problem. In the video Bora Lá Jogar links to several files that needed to be downloaded in order to fix the issue.

Warning: Download these are your own risk. We have downloaded and used them ourselves, and it fixed the problem. No viruses or Malware was detected. However, we cannot guarantee they are safe to download.

You need to download the following files. If you have the option to “Install” the files, it means they are not on your PC and need to be installed. If it’s already on your PC, which is likely the case for most of it, you will need to “Repair”. Go through each file individually and repeat the process and it should fix the Error Code 126 (tdatamaster.dll) In Undawn.

Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 (64 Bit – 32 Bit)
Visual Studio 2013 (VC++ 12.0) (64 Bit – 32 Bit)
Visual Studio 2012 (VC++ 11.0) Update (64 Bit – 32 Bit)
Visual Studio 2010 (VC++ 10.0) SP1 (64 Bit – 32 Bit)

Once you have downloaded and either installed or repaired each of those files, verity the integrity of the files on Steam via Undawn – Properties – Installed Files, and you should be up and running right away.
