You can find the honey in most wooded areas and sometimes near enemy camps. I found mine near Kakariko Village, here on the map.
Head up near the Chasm and you can find Beehives in the trees in that area. You need three honey to complete the quest, and you should be able to get that easy here. You can also search the other areas of the woods to find some extra.
Bring them back to the drummer and he will head down to the stables. If you have the other band members there, you can head to the Great Fairy and unlock her.
