Ubisoft has just announced a major DLC available for Watch Dogs tomorrow. Season Pass holders have had the DLC for a week, but now it’s available for non-season pass holders too! The price of this  is $6.99, or you can buy a season pass for $19.99 and get all the DLC for Watch Dogs a week before everyone else. What does this DLC offer though? The new content for Watch Dogs includes 3 brand new missions, as well as new weapons, outfits and perks! Let’s take a look at the three single player missions added.

The Palace – In this mission, a powerful internet mogul has information regarding Aiden and Dedsec. The police plan to raid his mansion and find this information, but Aiden must break in before the raid and wipe out the hard drive.

Signature Shot – A shipment that includes a biometric weapon was delivered to a Viceroy stronghold in Chicago. This weapon will only fire for the first person to imprint their palm on the handle. Naturally, Aiden must break into this Viceroy stronghold and get the weapon before anyone else has a chance to do so.

Breakthrough – In the third mission in this DLC, Aiden learns that the South Chicago Club has been dealing with some very important CEOs and he needs to stop their deals. You have to track and take down Scrambler vehicles before you can find the secret meeting place of the Chicago Club and the CEOs.

Also included in the DLC is a new weapon (alongside the biometric weapon gained through “Signature Shot”) called the Auto-6 Pistol – a burst fire weapon. Through the missions listed above players will also unlock new outfits, perks and boosts. This DLC is available for all platforms tomorrow so be sure to pick it up if you want to explore Chicago more!

According to the USA Pre-Order Chart on VGChartz, Destiny was the number one pre-ordered game overall two weeks ago and as of May 10, it was behind over 35,500 units. With 20 weeks left on Destiny’s release calendar and three left on Watch Dogs’, it doesn’t seem likely Ubisoft will keep this record for long. But no one can take away their personal achievement. That’s got to count for something.

Keep in mind this is also the most pre-ordered new IP, not all games. So, it’s still up in the air how well Watch Dogs actually does despite the various controversies and uncertainties surrounding it.

Ubisoft Monreal, Bucharest, Paris, Quebec, and Reflections collaborated for this game with Reflections also assisting on The Division.

Watch Dogs launches in North America and Europe May 27 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. The Wii U version will launch on a later date.

Ubisoft has just released a brand new trailer showing of Watch Dogs multiplayer and how it will work in the open world. The trailer is an 8 minute commentary on the different ways in which players will be able to interact with other players games.

In the trailer, there are three different ways shown to hack another players game. The first way will be the multiplayer that has been shown in the past. Players will be able to see a fellow “hacker” in the crowd and will initiate a hacking process. The hacker must than stay hidden for a time period to collect information. The player that is being hacked will have to find the hacker at all costs. The trailer shows how the player that is being hacked can interact with npc’s by firing a gun in the air to smoke out the player that won’t react with as much haste as the AI fleeing the scene.

One of the other game modes will be exclusively for mobile players. Using a tablet players will be able to control a police helicopter and use different environmental hacks to slow the progression of the console player trying to reach a destination. Hacking steam vents, traffic lights, dispatching police and having the city in the palm of their hand to stop the console player looks to be an interesting twist on mobile interaction with a console game.

The last mode showed off looks more like a traditional multiplayer mode of capture the flag. In a 4v4 match players will have to hold some kind of file system in their possession to hack and gather information. The first team to hold on to the file system for long enough wins. Players can use the whole city at their disposal to fight off an attacking team or to run away from attackers to get more room to hack.

There is still a lot to learn about the world of Watch Dogs, but until then, this is a great look at the multiplayer that will be available. Look for Watch Dogs on May 27th for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC.

Ubisoft recently announced a new ebook, Watch_Dogs //n/Dark Cloud, derived from the upcoming game Watch Dogs. Watch_Dogs //n/Dark Cloud, written by John Shirley, will be a direct continuation of the events that happen in Watch Dogs. This ebook will allow anyone who wants to know more about the world of Watch Dogs to fulfill their craving after they have beaten the game. Watch_Dogs //n/Dark Cloud will combine characters from the game, plus a few brand new characters, into an epic adventure filled with all the hacking you could possibly imagine. First, in the large “VIGILANTE Collectors Box”, you get a copy Watch Dogs and a hard copy of the official Watch Dogs soundtrack. On top of this, you also get two accessories: Aiden Pearce’s iconic cap, and Aiden Pearce’s Vigilante mask. The hat is the signature to the story’s main character “Aiden Pearce”. Another signature item, also included in the Vigilante box is Aiden’s mask. While this may not be the best combination of items to wear next time you need to go to the bank, they’re both pretty neat if you’re a Watch Dogs fan looking for collectables. On top of the physical items, fans who purchase the Vigilante box also get some digital content.

Digital content is arguably the reason that people pre-odrer a game. While there are definitely cases where people would like the collectors items, many people are also worried about getting more out of their actual game. The Watch Dogs Vigilante edition offers an extra mission, and a few other things. The “Palace Pack” is a mission in which the player breaks into a mansion to wipe the hard drives of a man who has information on just about everyone, including Aiden Pearce. On top of this mission, you also get a hacking bonus and a cash boost when you preorder.

The possible GTA-Killer Watch_Dogs arrives in your local retail store on May 27 2014. The release date was changed several times during the last months, now Ubisoft has given an official statement.

The time was not only used to give the game some fine-tuning, but to add extra content as well. The publisher didn’t specify, but apparently fans of gore, horror and drugs will get their money’s worth. In Australia, the game at first got a MA15+ rating back in 2013. This was recently changed to RA18+.

After several inquiries of fans, Ubisoft reacted. Primarily the game is supposed to be more brutal, with references to sex, drugs, prostitution and even human trafficking. That would be one of the few times, a game got changed to be more violent after the age rating.

In a recent tweet, Jonathan Morin, Creative Director of Ubisoft Montreal, stated that Watch_Dogs will have about 100 hours of gameplay.

Whether that includes side missions or is merely an estimation for the hardcore gamer’s average free roaming, remains to be seen when the game is released in the second quarter of 2014.

It’s currently the fastest selling 3DS game in history and is outselling its predecessor, Pokemon Black/White, by 70% at this point.

Ubisoft Confirm Launch Delay For Watch_Dogs

It’s with a heavy heart that I relay this information from Ubisoft. One of the most highly anticipated titles of the year has suffered a lengthy delay following comments on the official Watch_Dogs website. The game will now be delayed until Spring 2014. The developers said that they wanted Watch_Dogs to be the definition of the leap in next-generation gaming but they felt they couldn’t achieve that without a delay to polish some of the in-game features and mechanics. It’s sure to disappoint the games legions of fans but not as much as a poor product at an earlier launch date.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Global Launch Dates Revealed

While Ubisoft may have disappointed with their announcement regarding the delay of Watch_Dogs, they’re offering something a bit more positive with the announcement of the global launch dates for Assassin’s Creed IV: Blag Flag. The highly anticipated addition to the award-winning franchise will become available on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms on October 29th. The next-generation release dates remain unchanged available on all 3 major platforms on November 22nd (assuming the console is released in your region at that time.
