According to Ubisoft’s sources, the video was originally posted on YouTube via Xbox Live by a user named DavidAttenbro. In the video his is joined by MorganF Da Man, SchwarzeKiller and ChattyManAl69, as they each explore the rooftops of 18th century Paris before attempting to locate and loot a valuable hidden painting.

Sources from within Ubisoft are speculating that the characters in the video are none other than British naturalist David Attenborough, talk show host Alan Carr, the Austrian Oak Arnold Schwarzenegger and Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman.

However, it’s far more likely that the characters are the result of some rather impressive work from the renowned impressionist, Terry Mynott. Check out the trailer below and judge for yourself.

Over the past several months the Assassin’s Creed community created and voted for their favorite of all the Assassins created, with the promise that the most popular choices would one day appear in a different form. Over 200,000 Assassins were created but only 1,400 were deemed brilliant enough to be featured in the new interactive trailer.

As you immerse yourself in the new trailer you’ll notice many eye-catching characters going about their shady business. Interacting with these characters displays information on its creator and the content. Ubisoft also revealed that they have hidden several secrets within the trailer, offering insights to the Assassin’s Creed world that would otherwise be lost.

“As we got close to the finish, we realized we were near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin’s Creed Unity is exceptional,” says Vincent Pontbriand, senior producer at Ubisoft. “We sincerely appreciate players’ commitment to the game and their patience. It’s just a couple more weeks. And it’s going to be worth it.”

The developers also reassured US fans waiting for Assassin’s Creed Rogue, announcing that the release date remains the same for the US. Assassin’s Creed Rogue’s EMEA release date has changed however, now launching alongside Assassin’s Creed Unity on November 13th.

Ubisoft, coming off the leaked screenshots of Assassin’s Creed Unity has released a brand new Assassin’s Creed Unity Alpha trailer. The trailer shows the first official next generation of Assassin’s Creed and gives us a little insight into what the new title will be about. From the looks of of the trailer the rumors that Assassin’s Creed Unity will take place in France pre-revolution looks to be quite reliable. At the end of the trailer you can see the iconic guillotine crashing down that was used during the time period as an execution device.

Another interesting note to pull out of the announcement trailer is that it seems that this next-gen version of the game has been in development for quite some time. In the announcement notes Ubisoft says that the game has been in development for 3 years. The most interesting thing about the trailer, however, is that it seems to be forced out specifically from the Neogaf leaks. In the release of the trailer Ubisoft blatently states the reason the trailers origins.

What does this mean for the Assassin’s Creed story after 4? Is this just another time piece that the team at the fictional Ubisoft and Abstergo Entertainment is working on?
