Head to this location just on the outskirts of Last Light Inn. There’s a spooky old house here. When you enter, you will take damage from the Shadow-Curse even if you have a light. You will need to enter quickly and them climb down some vines to enter the basement area below.
There is no Shadow-Curse in the basement so you should be able to reach it without taking any damage. Once you are in the basement work your way through. There are some walls that can be destroyed and crates moved to reveal the path. Defeat the enemies at the end of the dungeon and then take the book off the shrine. Read the book to get the next objective in the quest.
