After an incredibly strong February (we’re still reeling), March looks to continue the trend with a number of hotly anticipated releases. On that note, here are the 5 best games of March 2022. Oh, and we won’t make you click through five pages to look at the entire list.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

Originally released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2013, Arc System Works and Atlus West’s Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is making its triumphant return.

Based around the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 RPG, players will unleash special moves, combos, and Persona abilities in this one-on-one fighter. For those who can’t get enough of Yu Narukami’s story, a new story told in a visual novel format has also been included that features two parallel narratives.

Hardcore fans are in for a real treat too: all previously-released downloadable content will be included in this releas, and gameplay will be based on the arcade version’s last update.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will come out for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 17, 2022.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

Chaos reigns with the release of Koei Tecmo, Team Ninja, and Square Enix’s Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin this month.

An alternate universe retelling of Square Enix’s original Final Fantasy release, this action RPG tells the story of Jack Garland, Ash, and Jed as they face a knight that has taken on the role of Chaos.

Unlike the original release, combat will take place in real time. While in combat, Jack has the ability to switch between two assigned jobs and use physical and magical attacks.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on March 18, 2022.

Triangle Strategy

The latest title from Artdink, players will be able to strategically lead their troops to victory with the release of Square Enix’s Triangle Strategy.

In this strategy RPG, players will be able to recruit more than 20 playable characters that each have their own distinct skills. Decisions also play a major role in this title, bolstering one of three convictions: Utility, Morality, or Liberty.

To get ahead in battle, players will be able to use the terrain to their advantage by flanking enemies. One is also able to link elemental attacks for increased attack power.

Triangle Strategy will come out for the Nintendo Switch on March 4, 2022.

Gran Turismo 7

The ultimate driving simulator makes its return with the release of Polyphony Digital and PlayStation Studios’ Gran Turismo 7.

Making its return to the series is the GT Simulation Mode, along with its traditional racing tracks and vehicles, Championships, Driving School, Special Events, Tuning Parts Shop, Used Cars dealership, and GT Auto.

For those playing on the PlayStation 5, the title will also feature ray-tracing hardware, custom SSD storage, and support for both the Tempest Engine and DualSense controller.

Gran Turismo 7 will come out for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on March 4, 2022.

Babylon’s Fall

PlatinumGames is bringing their signature combat to a new title with the release of Square Enix’s Babylon’s Fall.

This co-op action RPG has players taking on the role of a Sentinel, one that has unrivaled powers delivered by a parasitic device known as the “Gideon Coffin.” Multiple weapon types are at your disposal, and players are able to wield up to four weapons at any given time.

Of course, this title is not strictly a solo affair; players will be able to take on the Tower of Babel with up to three other players.

Babylon’s Fall will come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on March 3, 2022.
