What to Get Day 1 of Next-Gen
Day one purchases of a console are always confusing. When grabbing a new console the real question a person asks themselves is what am I going to play? Here is a helpful list of all of the upcoming launch day games for the PS4 and the Xbox One with some highlights for each console on what looks to be the front runners.

For this list there is a couple of games that standout as must haves. Forza Motorsport 5 is going to be probably the prettiest game on the next-gen console if not Ryse: Son of Rome. There has been very mixed feelings about Ryse in preview events though, so it may be a little bit safer to wait until reviews drop. For me, personally, I am really actually excited for some of the downloadable stuff. Killer Instinct looks like a solid game, plus you basically get to play the whole game for free with one character.
Some of the games that aren’t talked about very often are Powerstar Golf and Crimson Dragon. These downloadable titles may be worth checking out at launch as they will be cheap, pretty and probably some of the easier games to show off the new system. Either way, check out some reviews soon!
PlayStation 4 Launch Games:

PSN | Trine 2: The Complete Story |
PSN Free 2 Play | Warframe |
One of the things that stands out particularly for the PS4 is the amount of free to play games. Some of these games will be new for the console market, even if they have been available for the PC for a while. Games such as Warframe and Blacklight Retribution are solid titles for the free price tag. As for the retail games Killzone will probably be the more hardcore title and a slight interest in Knack should be shown at least until reviews hit.
