Persona 5 features tons of Confidants, important characters you can befriend to increase your Persona’s abilities and powers in battle. This Persona 5 Confidant Guide – Ann focuses on the Confidant Ann and tells you everything you need to know to increase her friendship and maximize the Lovers Arcana.
IMPORTANT: When speaking with any Confidant in Persona 5, when furthering the relationship is possible, you can receive a huge bonus if you have a matching Arcana Persona in your inventory. When speaking with Confidant Ann, make sure to bring a Persona in the Lover Arcana.
The first interaction for Ann is available very early on but you must first ensure you have the correct Social Stats. You will see Ann sitting in class at the end of the school day. You can attempt to speak with her but it’s likely that your Social Stats are not high enough. Once you have the appropriate Social Stats speak to Ann again. If you have already completed the first Palace, you can find Ann in Shibuya in the Underground Mall.
You and Ann will head for some food, be thoughtful when responding to Ann’s questions to maximize the benefits from the conversation. Tell her the girl in the hospital is strong and things like that.
Shortly after Interaction 2, around 5/22 for me, you can speak with Ann again. I got a text message at the end of school telling me she wanted to hang out. During this conversation you will unlock a Hangout, special places you can take Confidants to increase the boost in friendship with each interaction. Ann’s choice of location is Inokashira Park.
She wants you to help her train by calling her names. Call her stupid or an airhead the first time, then say the response was annoying and finally say I like you to get two notes. When she starts talking about substitute models, ask her if that has ever happened to her for three notes. Lastly when she is talking about her parents say that it sounds like a lot of freedom and you will get more notes. This should easily be enough to get the next rank of the Lovers Arcana. .
The third time you hang out with her you will have to do it more than once to level up the Confidant. She will ask you where you want you want to do and tell her you want to do something fun. She likes the park so take her there. When she asks about sandwiches in the park say “How bout dumplings?” for three notes.
The next time you hang out with her you will have to do some responses. For her first question say “I know what you mean” for three notes. The second choice is “That’s Hilarious” for three notes. For the third choice pick “Tell me” for three notes. Fourth choice is “good idea” for three notes. The last choice is “Good luck with that” for another three notes. This will get you the next level of the Lovers Arcana.
After you get her up to Rank four of her Arcana, she will text you to hang out. She wants to go see Shiho in the hospital but wants to talk with you before that. When she is talking about the Crepes tell her to “give it up” for some notes. When you go to the model scene the first choice is “she’s amazing huh?” and then “it had grace” to finish it up. Last two choices don’t matter.
Again you will have to hang out with her more than once to get the next rank of lovers. This time I went to have tea with her because we already hung out at the park. I also ordered some Flan off the shopping program on Sunday and gave that to her as well, this gets you a bonus three notes for six total. Ann will ask to hang out with you via text shortly after this, this will be the chance to bring up your Arcana Rank again. I am going to change things up here, for each question I will list it as if it was a multiple choice answer so ti should be easier to find the info you are looking for.

You will need to hang out with her someplace before she you can rank up with her again. You should read the magazine Vague which can be bought at the book store so you can hang out with her in Harajuku this time.

She will give you an Idol poster for hanging out with her in Harajuku as well. You can then give her the other Flan if you have it for more notes, if you haven’t figured it out by now, Ann likes sweets. You can buy some in the underground mall at the convenience store. Eventually she will want to hang out and this will be when you can upgrade your Lover Arcana to the next rank.

You will have to wait until Ann texts you again and wants to hang out. This is also the point where you can start making a move on Ann if you want to date her.

At the end of this you will get Rank 9 of the Lovers and you could also now be in a relationship with Ann.
Ann will message you and ask to hang out, this one doesn’t have any responses you have to worry about. It does have responses but all the answers give you bonuses because you are getting Rank 10 no matter what at this point.
