How To Reach The Ice/Snow Shrine On Great Sky Island In Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom

The shrine in the cold region is the hardest to reach. In this guide on How To Reach The Ice/Snow Shrine On Great Sky Island In Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom we’ll explain how you can quickly and easily navigate to the top of this icy mountain so you can find the Gutanbac Shrine and progress with the game.

The Gutanbac shrine is one of three shrines on the starting island that you must find in order to progress with the story. The other shrines are very easy to reach once discovered but the Gutanbac Shrine poses a bit more of a challenge. You can find it on the South East area of the map. Conveniently, just before the cold region, there is a cooking pot. Make sure you use it to create some cold resistance food, using the peppers you can find on Great Sky Island, so you don’t take damage while exploring.

How To Reach The Ice/Snow Shrine On Great Sky Island In Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom

The initial path up the snowy mountain is very obvious. There is a single route with a couple of side paths for loot. As such, you won’t need telling every step of the way. Simply follow the main path and continue climbing the mountain. Once you get to the top you will reach a dead end.

You’ll know you are there as there is a single enemy, a couple of bridges, a cooking pot, a waterfall, and all of the walls to progress are icy, meaning they cannot be climbed. Once you reach this location you need to walk behind the waterfall. There’s a small path of wall here that is not icy. You can use this patch of wall to climb to reach the top.
